Changing the printer driver settings on Windows and macOS

Given below are the steps to change the printer driver settings on your Windows computer or mac OS system.
On Windows Operating System
The printer driver settings could be changed in the Printer Properties dialogue box and the Printing Preferences dialogue box. You can find the steps below:
On Windows 8/Windows 10
- You need to click on the start button, select All Apps, Windows System, then click on the control panel.
- Click on the Hardware and Sound, Then on the Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your brother printer icon and select the printer properties from the drop-down.
On Windows 7
- Click on the start button, select control panel, go to Hardware and sound, then click on Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your brother printer icon and select the printer properties from the drop-down.
Note- Check for the Change Properties button at the bottom left of the dialogue box. If you find Change Properties, you need to click on that option.
- You will get Brother printer printing preferences window, click on the Basic tab to change the paper size, print orientation — Portrait or Landscape, media type, print quality, colour, and click on the settings button to make more changes. Also, you can go to the Advanced tab to customize the settings.
Mac
The printer driver settings could be changed in the Print dialogue box. Below given are the steps to change the print settings:
- You need to open the photo or a document to print.
- You need to select the print command in your application. You can either press the print icon on your computer or use another command.
- The document or photo needs to be selected as a printer setting.
- You can click on the next arrow to the Show Details button to expand the print window.
- You need to select the Copies and Pages settings as necessary.
Note — You can check this setting from your print application.
- You can select the page size and page orientations.
If you are not able to see it, you can check it on your print application or this setting can be accessed by selecting Page Setup from the file menu.
- You can select any application-specific settings appearing on your window.
- From the pop-up, select the print settings.
- You can select the paper source, select type of a paper loaded as media type-setting, and select the print quality you would like to use.
